Kodaikanal Avocados are nutrient rich?

Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids.

Avocado-Ripening Techniques :

  • Bury it in flour
  • Wrap it in a newspaper
  • Store it near fruits such as bananas or apples that release ethylene (a ripening gas)
  • Place it in a paper bag
  • Put it in a jar of rice

Unripe Avocados:

It’s not advised to keep these in the fridge as the low temperatures will significantly lengthen the ripening time, or cause them to never go ripe.

Ripe Avocado – once ripe, the refrigerator is the best place to store avocados. This is because it significantly slows down any further ripening or decay*.
